Description: Finlands People and thier customs Finland Finland is an easily accessible country to visit and enter.When I arrived for the very first time it was fairly obvious,to see that Finnish customs and manners are clearly European, with only a few Regional and national variations, and attitudes are liberal. The Finnish People are a relaxed and understanding race of peoples;It is very difficult to commit any serious cumunal breaches.Finns will be more often amused than offended should a Foreigner stumble socially .The day to day Codes of behaviour are fairly relaxed, and reputations are built up over time,Sometimes years as a direct result of personal actions rather than conforming to norms;I have made many a strong and lasting friendship with Finnish people,through their Sauna culture . It is difficult in Finland to make or break a reputation with a single social blunder.

Description: he Multiracial community in Finland has grown significantly over the last 20 years.WhenI came here first in 1988,Finland was a non EU Member.Sure I would see the odd small gathering of Foreigners.Usually in the few British pub likke bars.The Immigrant population now stands at2% Compared to the UK,I cannot give figures as there is a constant flux in the amount of illegal/legal migrants,suffice to say that an article predicted that some 40% of the British population will have blood from another coutry by 2013 Britian,A truly multicultural society Britian,A truly multicultural society I am pro welcoming Immigrants to Finland and beleive it to be a positive step forward,there is also a fairly large multinational section of the Finnish society.I see an injection of foreign customs,cuisine and traditions can only enrich the local communities.I have yet to find a Genuine Indian take-away or Restaurant.This I was informed politely of,was due to the Restaraunts that are presently established in Helsinki,are infact Nepalese.
